VINCENT (WENSHENG) MA is an accomplished engineer and intellectual property attorney.  Patent and trademark clients benefit from Vincent’s years of hand-on engineering experience at elite technology companies and from his years of experience as an IP litigator.

Vincent graduated from Tsinghua University and began his engineering career at Huawei Technology in Shenzhen, China. He worked on Huawei’s famous C&C08 telephone switch, the most powerful PBX switch in China at the time. He continued his career as an engineer at Singtel (Singapore Telecom) in Singapore. After that, he worked in Silicon Valley for several years, first at Chrontel and later at Phoenix Technology. Vincent’s engineering experience includes digital cameras, computer networks, computer technology, USB, and Bluetooth technology.

As a lawyer, Vincent has litigated a variety of civil matters, especially in the area of intellectual property.  He has handled over 30 cases in the U.S. District Courts of the Northern and Central District of California, in California state courts, and in arbitration (JAMS and AAA) including cases involving false advertisement, trademark infringement, unfair competition, breach of contract, and malpractice. He has assisted in several patent litigations.  Vincent’s experience includes all stages of pre-trial litigation, including motion practice, deposition, e-discovery, mediation, and settlement. He has successfully negotiated favorable settlements for many of his clients.

Vincent is also a seasoned trademark practitioner before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He has represented clients in over 30 opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trials and Appeals Board.

Vincent is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
