Mr. Radding has litigated diverse patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret cases, acting for both plaintiffs and defendants, involving LED lighting and lighting systems, food and beverage, video gaming, print and online advertising, academia, biotech, artificial intelligence, cannabis, plastic manufacture, electrochemical devices, ring laser gyroscopes, avionics, medical devices, communications, pharmaceuticals, computer controllers, food equipment, anti-counterfeiting, data compression, impact sensors, bicycles, candy, wine, jewelry, personal consumer products, television commercials and vehicle tires, to name a few.

Prior to joining MKW, Mr. Radding was co-chair of Locke Lord’s ITC Practice Group and co-chair of its Trademark, Copyright and Advertising Practice Group. Before joining Locke Lord, he was head of the Intellectual Property practice in New York for Morrison & Foerster. Prior to that, he was a senior partner at Pennie & Edmonds, where he practiced for 30 years. Before the start of his legal career, Mr. Radding was a pharmaceutical chemist at Welcome Research Laboratory, and an environmental chemist at Union Carbide Corporation.

“After being in Big Law for many years, I sought a technology-focused firm providing clients with personalized service and small client teams. I was attracted to MKW’s quality of work, its growth trajectory, its focus on technology and intellectual property, and most of all, its people, many with whom I have worked for years at Morrison & Forester,” said Mr. Radding, “I look forward to leveraging my experience and contributing to the firm’s array of outstanding legal services.”“When we started MKW, we sought to create an innovative firm with lawyers who shared that vision. Many of us worked successfully with Rory at a prior firm, and we are excited to welcome him and his depth of experience, which will provide significant value to the firm, our clients and the industries we serve,” said Michael Mauriel, co-founding partner at Mauriel Kapouytian Woods LLP.
